The Green Job Guild

Looking for a Green job means you might have to think outside the box. Work skills and personal goals can make a big difference in what direction you go. Are you just looking for a green job or is your goal to make a difference at the grass roots level and make your community a more sustainable environment?

If you’re just looking for a job there are some great green job search engines at your disposal.

Here are just a few  to check out:

If a cookie cutter job is not your cup of tea then you might want to look outside the box to find your income. If you have a green thumb one of the biggest underground movements is urban faming. This can be done on rooftops, backyards and vacant city lots. Grow your organic produce and sell it to local restaurants and stores. You can see some examples of this at: http://greenmyplants.com/roof-top-gardening-making-the-world-a-better-place/

Along with urban farming there are huge opportunities in providing local solar and wind power consulting and installation. Get involved in your communities green movement or start one if there’s no group. Educate yourself in everything green and become the local go-to person for the rest of the community.

Another great opportunity is working from home and generating your income from your computer. There are many ways you can do this from starting you own eBay store to affiliate marketing. This is only recommended if your comfortable with computers and the internet.

We’re going into a new era of work, living and environment so the sky’s the limit. Be creative and do what you love.
